About the Denman PTSA

Our goal is to build on the many strengths of Denman by supporting the teachers and staff who make our school a shining star among the middle schools in San Francisco. Through the generous financial support of parents, caregivers, extended family, alumni and friends, the PTSA supports Denman in fulfilling its mission to provide each student with an equal opportunity to succeed.

Who belongs in the Denman PTSA?

You and your family! Anyone part of Denman Middle School can be a member: parents, relatives, caregivers, students, alumni, staff, and community supporters.

What does the Denman PTSA do?

The initiatives of the Denman PTSA fall into four main areas:

1. 🧠👟 Core curriculum support

   • Grants for academic or athletic programs

   • Classroom funds for teachers

   • Wellness Center

2. ❤️ Student experience

   • Graduation activities like the 8th grade boat dance

   • End-of-year grade activities like camping trips

   • Student clubs

3. 🧑‍🏫 Teacher support

   • Refreshments for staff meetings and appreciation

   • Staff lounge enhancement

   • Professional development

4. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒 Community building and improvement

   • Clean up and gardening days

   • Bingo Night

   • Summer picnic

   • Refreshments and prizes for various events

   • Connecting families online and in person

How does the Denman PTSA do all that?
