Volunteer opportunities
PTSA Executive Board
The Executive Board is the group of volunteer parents/caregivers, students, and staff who plan events, budget, and communication for the PTSA. For 2025-26, we especially need a Secretary, VP Community, Parliamentarian, and Program Grants Chair. These roles are great for new members and take little to no time outside of meetings!
School clean up/gardening days
Eighth graders can earn community service hours by cleaning the yard and helping with maintenance and gardening. We need adult help to guide the students and perform other tasks within and outside the buildings. Events occur once or twice a year in the fall and the spring.
Back to School Night, STEAM Family Night, History Night
Staff a PTSA table to educate the community about the PTSA, recruit members, and sell items to fundraise for the PTSA. Events occur in the fall, winter, and spring, respectively.
Teacher Appreciation Week
During Teacher Appreciation Week in May, join us in giving thanks to the teachers and staff of Denman MS through snacks, meals, and other tokens of gratitude. Needs include planning, shopping, cooking, delivery, serving, and cleanup.
Bake Sales
Donate baked goods and finger foods, or help sell them to raise funds for the PTSA once or twice a year. These are easy ways to make our work visible and interact with our community.
